To those closest to us, you're still processing that we finally got engaged. For years we didn't imagine 'formalizing' our intentions to spend our lives together. We've decided it's important to us, but we're doing it in our own way. We will get married privately on a date that has significance to us and then want to celebrate with as little stress as possible, and somehow we think 2 separate events is going to do that! We will invite our NC based family and friends to join us in spring of 2025 for a backyard reception on Ballfield Rd. and in the fall we'll have another smallish, casual (as far as wedding receptions go) gathering in Massachusetts. Here's the secret, we're lazy- managing 2 smaller events that require less of our friends and family to travel and need more accommodations was a big factor for us. We've reserved enough space for the intended guest list in Waltham and King is in the country... no ubers, very few hotels, not enough tents for everyone. So, aside from a few members of our immediate family we politely ask that you join us at the party closer to your home. :)
